Stonesoft receives nominations for 2011 GOVTek Awards, to be presented by the Government Technology Research Alliance
Network security provider Stonesoft today announced that it has been nominated for the annual GOVTek awards in the following categories: Best Security Solution, and Top Solution Providers to Watch For 2012. The GOVTek awards are given by the Government Technology Research Alliance (GTRA), and honor government and industry leaders for their contributions to their country and IT community.
For over a decade, Stonesoft has been a preferred network security and information assurance vendor within the public sector. More than 90 government agencies around the globe, including multiple high profile federal departments and state agencies here in the U.S., use Stonesoft’s advanced network security solutions to protect their critical network assets.
"We are thrilled Stonesoft is being recognized as a leader in the government IT community," said Kelly Yocum, CEO of GOVTek and co-founder of GTRA.
GTRA will honor all nominees and categories for government and solution providers at the GOVTek Awards Gala to be held in Washington, DC on December 8, 2011. Prior to then, nominees from civilian/defense/intelligence agencies and industry will be evaluated by GTRA Council Members and given recognition in the areas most relevant to government IT today -- including social media, infrastructure, leadership, cyber security, green IT, and transparency.
“Stonesoft has committed to providing government departments and agencies the most intuitive, easy to use, and advanced information assurance solutions. This nomination is a reflection of that commitment, and one we greatly appreciate,” said Juha Kivikoski, Chief Operating Officer at Stonesoft.
