Kettering General Hospital NHS Trust and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be hosting the events later on this year, to introduce staff and students to SharePoint technology.
On the 21st September 2011 and at a date TBC in mid-November, SharePoint solutions provider Cloud2 will be holding an event aimed at showing members of NHS staff and students what SharePoint can do, and how SharePoint-based implementations could help the NHS achieve their computerisation goals.
The events, titled “SharePoint in Healthcare: Paperwork and Governance in the 21st century” will be geared towards showcasing what SharePoint is capable of in a healthcare setting, demonstrating implementations such as eForms, information governance, business intelligence and KPIs alongside full SharePoint intranet portal projects.
Speaking in seminar slots throughout the day will be several well-regarded and highly knowledgeable companies:
Cloud2: “Microsoft SharePoint implementations for the NHS and corporate sectors across the UK - delivering Document and Records management, Business Intelligence and eForms. Putting collaboration, communication and information management at your fingertips.” Director Taran Sohal will be presenting a talk titled: “Using SharePoint to solve business problems.” Director Simon Hudson will also be giving a talk: “Rapid BI – Speed up the build-up of performance dashboards”. Enline: “Providing trusted identity & access management systems, security & infrastructure solutions and third party support services to global clients in the private and public sectors.” Jack Clarke, Enline’s Microsoft Business Manager will be giving a talk titled: “Improving access to clinical information with Identity Management technology”. Kodak: “Rich heritage, innovative breakthroughs, and cutting-edge technologies.” Sales Manager Colin Labrum will be speaking about data capture technology in “Total Document Capture”. (www.kodak.co.uk)
AvePoint: “A global leader in infrastructure management solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, and an active member of the greater SharePoint community” AvePoint will be presenting their talk on “SharePoint backup and infrastructure management solutions for the NHS”. (www.avepoint.com)
The events will follow similar structures for both days, beginning at 8:30 and ending at 4:40. Alongside talks there will be software and hardware demonstrations, as well as question and answer sessions and the opportunity to raise concerns or queries with SharePoint specialists.
